Hello SFPE Minnesota Members & Friends,

We are excited to meet with Det-Tronics at their test center in Savage, MN for this months member meeting.  Join us for dinner and a talk from Mike Hosch for an optical flame detection technology seminar. We hope to see you there!

 

Dinner and beverages will be provided.  The presentation will begin shortly after a member's business portion has been completed.


Registration is required by November 13th!  We have limited spots available and must provide a list of attendees for security purposes.

Again, we are excited to hear visit their test center. We hope to see you all there.

Michael Hosch

Michael J. Hosch is employed by Det-Tronics in Minneapolis, Minnesota as a Technical Sales Engineer. He has worked for Det-Tronics for over 35 years, having kept a continuous emphasis on utilizing optical flame detection to help customers protect lives and property. Over this time, working with customers, he has developed extensive experience in the application of flame detection. He enjoys helping to educate others about the benefits and limitations of the various types of technology that is used for optical flame detection. He has focused on developing flame detection solutions and providing applications guidance for Det-Tronics customers. Michael’s recent primary focus has been to assist in the development and promotion of a flame detection system that is capable of meeting the needs of the munitions manufacturing and the ultra-high speed market segment.

Selection Criteria for Specifying Flame Detectors

Join us for a basic overview of optical flame detection. The overview will include supporting demonstrations and an open format to allow for questions and answers. The goal of this brief session is to communicate the benefits and limitations of different flame detection technologies.
